Aug. 22, 2022 — The RISC2 project is a European-led initiative that brings together the academic and industrial communities to support the coordination of High-Performance Computing research between Europe and Latin America.
The RISC2 project is organizing a HPC webinar series which will present the state-of-the-art methods and tools for installing and maintaining HPC hardware and software infrastructures.
“In RISC2, we are already making good progress in sharing HPC experience and knowledge between Latin America and the EU,” said Fabrizio Gagliardi, RISC2 coordinator and senior strategy advisor at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. “These webinars are a way to disseminate our collective knowledge and skills on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Each webinar will be 30-40 minutes, followed by a 10–15-minute moderated discussion with the audience. The speakers and moderators will be international HPC experts.
The sessions of this webinar series are free of charge, but the registration is mandatory for each session. The webinars will be recorded, and the materials will be available on the RISC2 webpage.
Currently, the first four webinars have been scheduled:
- Getting Scientific Software Installed: From EasyBuild to EESSI, August 24.
- Interactive High-Performance Computing with JupyterLab, September 21.
- Application Benchmarking with JUBE: Lessons Learned, October 19.
- HPC system and job monitoring with LLviewTo, December 7.
The first webinar will feature Kenneth Hoste (Ghent University) as host and Bernd Mohr (Jülich Supercomputer Centre) as moderator. To register, please click here.
